Historic Photos of Douglas County

The Douglas County Historical Society (DCHS) has a huge collection of photographs collected over the last 70+ years from generous donors, historians, Homesteaders and more!

DCHS recently began converting the printed photographs into high definition scanned images and colorizing some of them.

Colorized images add an amazing dimension to black and white.

If you need a specific photo, Contact Us to send a request.

DCHS Photographs are scanned, enhanced and colorized by Bruce Clark, The Blue Rooster Productions in Waterville.
Website photo layout, copyright tagging and other enhancements are by DCHS Webmaster Ron Lewis, DryLander Design, located on Dyer Hill.
This is a “work-in-progress”, so please be patient as we develop this new photo display.

One of our goals is to establish a searchable photo display by name, year, etc.
We love to hear comments, suggestions and whatever your thoughts are, so don’t hesitate to Contact Us.
