MAIN ENTRY GALLERY

Upon first arriving at the Waterville Museum, you will find our Dowser Statue and a few items outside our Entry.

After entering, the Main Entry Gallery greets you displayed in the photos below.

Here are a few Douglas County Museum facts to help better understand who we are:

  • The Museum was built in 1959 by William and Etta Schluenz.
  • The Schluenz’s 50th Anniversary Photo is right of the doorway in the Rock Room.
  • The large gallery was added in 1990.
  • The double entry was added in 1996.
  • The rear addition for display and for storage was added in 2004.
